Ms 390 not oiling

Hi I've got a stihl ms 390 farm boss and the bar is not oiling.  I've had the bar and chain off and cleaned the track and also the oil holes are clear but it doesn't seem to be oiling, although when you start it up with no bar it's puming oil through. Anyone any ideas?

Trying running some petrol through the oil tank with the bar if see if it pumps that.

Could well be that the work gear has gone. Pop the clutch off and have a deeks

if it works without the bar on then doesn't with the bar fitted, it would generally be the oil hole in the bar that is blocked - worth checking again. If it is clear and it still doesn't oil then it sounds like either the pump is plugged, the pickup is blocked, the worm is stripped or the pump has worn.

It is usually a case of stripping all the bits out, inspecting them and replacing whatever isn't right.

Hi thanks for the replys. I'll try it with some petrol and see if it's pumping through. And failing that, strip it down and check each part. Thanks

Has it got the correct bar on it? Does the oil hole in the bar line up with the oil channel on the saw.  I'm assuming it does, but just in case someone has changed the bar.
