Bar lift in cut

I got one specially made 8 years ago when I knew no different...
 
Tungsten carbide:
 

• Due to the nature of the material you can never get it sharp like a chrome/steel chain - at it's very sharpest it cuts like a dull chain
• It is hideously expensive
• You hit something and instead of bad blunting the whole tooth gets broken off

It doesn't work for chainsaws - or at least for the way chainsaws cut at the moment...

But its great that you did. Means we dont have to and its a learning curve thats been officially crossed off as opposed to a 'what-if'.

This is the vid [which I'll post as a seperate thread] where the flint dulled one side not the other. Could not believe the force causing the mill to rise in the cut - no amount of weight would keep it down!

Hello again people. Sorry iv been away for a while. 

 

It seems time for me to put my handsup and confess. I have had the mill out again recently, before hand spent a good couple of hours in the shed with the granburg. All chains sharpened nicely fully cleaned the mill and the bar. Next day big pile of sawdust and a happy me.

All sorted? Did you find the original cause?

The only thing to not was a couple of slightly dull teeth on the chains, I can only think there must have been a bit of debris on or in the bark.

Is that your nicely restored baler and MF135 in the store? ( I laughed at the re-roof)

New baler nearly finished 165 (my mates) the tins are a lean too the full length of tractor but the picture dose look strange I must admit
