Yes. Ours froze up in december.... one lof the lads tried to work it free but it must have been frozen all down the black sheath. All it did was work the cable inside the handle and frey and bugger it. It went ping last week so had to get a new handle and cable 70.00 inc vat or there abouts.... there is a littlw red bung you can remove on the handle. Been meaning to remove this on mine and put some thin oil or wd40 down there keep the water out

do not use wd40 as it will rot the sheathing over time just use thin oil and do it regular

yes 3 in 1 will be ok and you can carry it in the van to use as and when

Yep ours froze up on Thursday. Started the engine and let it warm up. Then we bodged the throttle to be at full chat so we could get on with the job. After 10 mins it was fine.

I use to get the same problem when I was running a Gandini 05MTS. Regularly in cold weather. I would start engine, leave running for 10 - 15 mins then all OK till next morning. Occasionally I put a fan heater under the engine cover if there was electricity available.

When I replaced the throttle cable I gave it a good dose of oil, but can't remember if it helped.
