There seems to be a lot of Elm about in the South West but hopefully a market for it given time.

 

I am having second thoughts about the decent burrs at the base of 3 of the trees, quite a few staples wanged in there but it may be worth metal detecting and milling.

 

Having never sold Elm burrs I am hesitant. They are about 3ft diameter and 1.5m long.

I do not think there is much Elm in the southwest , unless you include the small dia sucker re-growth which is nearly all sapwood and dies from DED before it gets to any size , there are a few on the coast in some places ...and the odd Wych Elm ..
