Finally a few of my sticks arrived the other day.

Here is the two sections of the Burr Horse Chestnut logs..unfortunately the main lower trunk was swiped by the biomass company 🤦‍♂️

Actually I must take some photos of Alder we have been milling lately

Where are they then?

We felled some alder which could be worth milling if anyone interested near Petersfield, the lads whose job it's on could mill it with their Lucas mill. A couple of bits of largish cherry, about 18", a bit bony though, it can be extracted when the land dries out around May.

But what do these people do with it?

Whatever they like. They are told what it is or isn't good for, how it needs to be dried. Sold as seen.

After that 🤷‍♂️

I don't care 😅

I can understand that (that you don’t care) but who are these people?

What is HC, a wood that traditionally is never used for anything, used for?

Bowls, table tops, dildos?

The whole chainsaw milling scene interests me slightly, but I still don’t know who the end users are.

These people are not from mars so rest assured mick your quite safe. Modern day dildos tend to be made from a more flexible sensual feeling material these days 😏
