Thanks spud. Yeah I may as well have a dabble, I think it may be the check valve that you talked about that’s the problem? I will pop the exhaust off first and double check the condition of the piston but it does have good comp, holds its own weight easily. The valve is behind the h jet yeah?

You are entering an area where not too many techs get anywhere close to going and that worries me as I don't know your abilities. You may be better trying to fit another known good carb to your saw to prove the issue is the carb and not something else.

The check valve is where I said it was before!

That sounds exciting! I’m no expert but I do do most things myself. I know a chap with one so may ask if I can chuck his on. If not, I’ll have a go and see what happens, I’d have to remove the limiter if I gave it a mild porting anyway.

Fingers crossed :)

Trying your mates one does sound like a simpler option to me, I am guessing not many have changed check valves in their time!

Sorted now bud! I couldn’t get in contact with my friend with other saw so I decided to drill it out and have a look. It was full of crud in there, bitty and grey slimy sort of stuff. Gave it a real good blasting with carb cleaner, put it back together and it’s back to normal [emoji106]

Thanks for all your advice bud [emoji106]
