just wondering if any one is using the gronell tango boots and if they'd rate them over scarpa pro ascents?

any feedback and pros/cons for both would be helpful, thanks!

when you say wear quick is that in a couple of months or a bit longer and is that wearing every day? slippery in the wet could be a problem with all this constant rain we're having!!

I've had a pair since the summer. They are a little more chunky than the scarpa's but not so painfull after hours of wearing. Wet weather is a problem for nearly all boots but I found these to be a lot better than the scarpa's in the wet.

The soft soles do seem to wear a lot though. I'd buy another pair.

if you want none of the problems like the above try the AKU crodas. and they a totally water proof

thanks for the replies, they sound like good boots and definitely look a little bit more heavy duty without being overkill. if i can deal with the pinkness i may even get a pair!

Got my boots in august and wear them most days climbing. This is the wear on the toe of the boot and also the same wear at the point where the rope sits when footlocking. I think this is too much for how young the boots are, especially at nearly nz$450.
