ive been dabbling with srt since the first rope wrench came out , i paired it up with the lockjack that i use and love for drt, it worked ok but i wanted a neater dedicated mechanical srt device,

so i went for a bulldog bone, what a solid well made bit of engineering!

ive been using it for a while now and it seems really predictable, what id call fit and forget, i love the fact its midline attatchable too.

i use a chest harness too advance it which seems to work fine, descents are fine although like most mechanical devices it takes a while to dial in how much to release vs how quick you want to descend.

you can pull up the rope below the device to take in the slack much the same as with a hitchclimber pulley, just without the 2:1 effect.

all in all iam well pleased with the device although i havent really used any of the other devices on the market.

thanks to Gordon. ( the maker)

The BDB is the best in so many ways: All parts individually replacable. Brilliant compact design. Super strong. Quick and easy to fit onto/off rope.
