Husqvarna inverter

Looking to get a battery saw or 2, been put off in the past because I know I’d forget to take the batteries out at the end of the day to charge. Just had a look in the local dealers & I see a car charger & inverter are available. Anyone have any experience with these.

I like the idea of wiring the inverter to the chipper & using that as a charging station, or maybe into the truck & using the drive to site to charge up. What I’m struggling to find out is if the inverter has any effect on the charging times ie do the 330 watt & 500 watt still charge at the same speed as when they are plugged into a regular wall socket?

This is the inverter Husqvarna have.

Cant find any other info about it. What I’m wanting to do is hook this up to the chipper & then plug in the normal 3 pin/240 volt wall charger to this. The chargers are 3300 Watt or 5000 Watt. What nobody at the dealers was able to tell me was if this inverter was able to power the chargers so they would charge at the same speed as if they were plugged it at home.

Dont really understand inverters but, from what your saying Donk, there shouldn’t be any increase in charging time. Is that right?

Yeah, not intending on running it without the chipper also going. Will be getting an extra battery too, a lot of our work is not domestic & the jobs that are about half the time nobody is home so we wouldn’t get any power then either.

Dont want to have to depend on remembering to charge at the end of the day because I know I’ll forget most of the time, need some way to charge on site.

They also do a charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket but it’s only 80 Watts & the charge times Husqvarna are quoting are not really workable.
