BOSE wave music system

Im thinking of buying a Bose system ( a family crimbo present) anyone got one? Are they worth the money? What ive heard so far is they are the dogs bollocks anyone no any different?Bose - Better Sound Through Research

Very good, but a case of style over substance. If you like your audio system as a ''style statement '' with all the bells and whistles then fine, but all a bit bling IMHO. In terms of listening quality, you can get a lot more bangs per bucks from a manufacturer like Cambridge Audio, for example.

Richer Sounds is as good a place as any to start. They are very competitively priced, and they know their stuff.

I fancy the Bose 'WAVE' system - DAB its like no other system. Designed to be compact and discreet, it producers...............bla bla bla:001_tt2:

Cambridge audio is cheap for a reason, great name that sounds top quality but is actually made from taiwan mass produced shod.

 

I would never say that bose is stylish, infact is quite ugly however we have bose home cinema and was bought because of the sound quality, doesnt look great comared to the likes of B&W .

I wanted one of these a couple of years ago, but when I looked into it they only have the old analogue radio and no usb connector. Maybe they've changed now.

I was at a barbeque in summer and the music was from a Bose system with an iPod plugged into it. I was amazed at the sound coming from such a small system.

 

I've heard better sound, but never from something so small.

Two thumbs down on that particular radio unit. WAY overpriced! It doesn't sound all that good.

As opposed to the now mainly Chinese manufactured, over priced Bose.

But Hey, don't take my word for it. Look up the press reviews.

If you want MY own opinion, I've just bought a Denon RCD M37 DAB and I'm well pleased with it. (Shh! From Richer Sounds!)
