Then the supplier to the 'middle man' becomes liable.

Very true, so how are Husqvarna going to tighten up on web sales?

Whats the approach gonna be, will no-one be able to buy a Husqvarna online in the future unless they provide proof of NPTC certs or proof of similar training?

Cheers

TC

Mmmmmm. So I buy a car (without a licence - no legal requirement for purchase) then mow down a bus que. My fault or the car supplier?

Training is a good thing but it does not replace common sense and experience....if that individual has a quota of the latter? :001_rolleyes: 357XP is a good saw but take it easy from nowt to that with no saw exp?

I assume it is not going to be used as part of your business. i.e. insurance liabilities and they always want bits of paper to cover their chuff.

In answer to the OP thread starter. Wrong bar. Get them to replace it!

I don't s'pose the chain was 3/8" LP on .050" slot just to confuse matters - though with a 3/8 sprocket that is a bit of a pointless comment. I'll get me coat :laugh1:

Glad to see you resolve the issue Samtheman:thumbup1:

If Husky/Stihl etc tighten up sales to purchasers, it will just create a bigger black market for stolen gear. That, of course, is of no importance to the manufacturers, or the dealerships as its win-win for them all the way, it just makes things harder for the legal end-users. Whats wrong with a scannable microchip built into the saws, with all data on it, right down to the legal owners details. Its time the manufacturers and the whole industry accepted they have a responsibility to help prevent crime too. The technology is out there these days to be used.
