No it isnt.

Depth is typically 0.025" (and not 0.25" as mentioned above). T'would be some scary contraption to rip a 1/4 inch cut per tooth.....

.025 - .022 = .003 . That's three thousands of an inch .

The OP quite obviously got his decimal point in the wrong place . If you had a raker depth of a 1/4" you would have no raker at all !
