Not really, bit of robust debate amongst consenting adults, used to be a lot more of it on here.

It's been about 15 years since I was into modern history. So most references are quite vague in my mind.
Chomsky in the speech aforementioned touches on the subject.
I'll have a peruse over the next week and try to find some "evidence".

But back on track, one of our new tree officers believes that reducing trees back to growth points actually makes them brittle. Personally never heard of that and have done thousands of reductions on council, commercial and private trees, never seen any problems?
