Timberwolf 125 ph running issue

Hi,

Not sure if anyone can give me help here.

Timberwolf 125ph -

The chipper runs well on start up and for a while it’s as normal, but it’s recently been slowing down when chipping larger branches, as in the stress feed isn’t a quick when building back up from a pause.

Again today, it’s chipping smaller branches ok, but after some time of chipping larger stuff, it slows again, and it’s as if the engine looses power.

Run down, turn off and start again after a min or so it’s back to normal.

I did think maybe a vapour lock or something to do with the fuel and the hot weather, but there isn’t a great seal on the tank cap, this is just due to being not the best fit from day one.

Any ideas of where to start for this sort of thing? Fuel filter I guess would be worth changing.

Could it be a problem with the stress feed control? - does this affect the engine revs?

It usually goes in to the shop for service and repairs, so before I hand it over, I thought I’d see if there was a simple fault that anyone else has come across.
