All terrain Tyre advice

Hi, I had a pair of AT tyres fitted on the front of my Isuzu on Saturday, this morning I noticed that the two tyres had a different tread pattern so one is being changed this week! But I'm a little concerned about the valve length, they stick out further than the side of the steel wheels and almost to the wall of the tyre. Should I ask them to change them when I go back to have front changed or am I worrying over nothing?

Thanks for the reply. So if I hit a kerb or  the side of a stump etc you don't think it could cut the valve off and deflate the tyre?

Never had it happen to me so far. When I used to trial L/R  or winch competitions then definitely short valve stems as running tyres at low presssure.

Washed the wheels on the 110 about 6 months ago and both front valves stems started to leak as they were perished.

I've been looking at getting some Goodyear Wranglers for a while.

 

I take it they fitted one of the old tread pattern and one of the new duratrac type?

One at/sa and one plain one.... Bottom one is the at/sa, looks a good tyre... That's what I ordered?

That's bad service for a tyre company i would ask about shorter valves in case they made another mistake.

I had Kumo MT51 all terrain (Mud & Snow Rated Tyres) and really rate them and they were cheaper then the BF Goodridge and Cooper AT... The Kumo MT51 also had a stronger side wall as well... Chunky as Hell
