There are very clear and concise rules of engagement in Afghanistan, Apache pilots have to adhere to as much as anyone else. If the man hadnt gone back for the weapon they would not be allowed to open fire. Btw its a war-zone, people on both sides get hurt. The Taliban forces use tactics such as IED's, hardly "sporting" old chap, what what:001_smile:

He didn't go back for the weapon, it remained in the field where he had dumped it. War is never sporting, old chap, never has been. If we are talking about the Taliban, I don't have any sympathy for them or those like them but one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Let me ask you a question. Suppose the UK was invaded by a foreign power, and the army was defeated; would you take it lying down or would you offer resistance? :001_smile:

I will say this because I hope you don't truly believe that, and please don't take offence as none is intended, but that view has lead to some truly horrific situations in the past.

No offence mate just our opinions on stuff:001_smile:

"but that view has lead to some truly horrific situations in the past" If your referring to things along the lines of religion etc then yes I agree with you but there are people out there that do truly horrendous things that should never be forgiven.

If i were fighting for the freedom of my country (as it seems the "victims" in the vid were doing) and i got myself a mass of arms, If i were then spotted by an enemy craft with said weapons and i waved a flag or t shirt or whatever i truly wouldnt expect to be spared
