Recommended wet/very cold weather climbing glove?

Looking at the sealskinz at the min, does anybody rate these? The Ultra Sticky and the All Weather Cycling look like they might work.

 

Very keen to hear your suggestions.

I await the opinions on the gloves, they've got to be better than the socks! Like bin bags, waterproof but sweaty!

Have you explored some of the sailing glove options? They're designed to grip in cold, wet conditions - some of them have a tough palm material and a neoprene back for heat retention.

I know the sailing fraternity certainly know how to charge big prices - but you might find a decently priced pair.

I've got a pair of Sealskinz cycling gloves - the one with gel padding on the palms - that I actually use for winter hill walking. I bought these whilst on the eternal quest for "waterproof" gloves that actually are waterproof! The best I've found so far for their weight but I don't think they would be much use for tree work and I definately wouldn't want to climb in them; karabiner handling would be a nightmare.

the gill ones are good, but unfortunately the thunb and forefinger are tippless, the thorns always find them

The Gill Championship and Pro gloves come with full fingers also

i climber in showa thermos last winter in sweden and loved them, then for the summer i used showa greens theyre great theyre cheap and work well and last a good while.
