they look like generators but i think they pump hydraulic oil, you can use them to power splitters. anyone know what they are called?

"hydrulic power packs" arent they? i have looked at several enerpack ones on ebay with honda engines for running a log splitter, its just they seem more expensive than an axe and i dont sell many logs yet

If you've got a chipper, run a suplimentary circuit off the roller feed/return. You've already got most of the kit there! Big engine (diesel) hydraulic flow and directional valve!

Piece of cake to do, just needs a set of T Taps + some bayonet fittings.

Personaly, I would not want to put hours and wear on the engine of my chipper running it as a glorified powerpack, nor run the chance of contaminating the hydraulic oil and shagging the feed motors.
