That's how I look at insurance in general. Save the money and put it in savings or as Matt says accepts that can be cashed in if need be. Might have a different view if things go tits up though!

I’m not against insurance, I have cover for all sorts of things. Just I believe you can be overinsured, and no agent is going to tell you that.

I don't have, and as I cut the tendon in my thumb 12 weeks ago which was not work related  and have had little income apart from customer I work for on a slate type agreement which I have billed.

The good thing is had no repair bills to pay and all my kit is mine.
