we had some concrete ones to attatch to trees on the edge of a construction site, they were supplied with a bit of thick curved wire to loop round the trunk. tbh i think a tree tie round the trunk, and some wire to attatch box to tie would be better

We did a bit of this at college last year, and I believe the most used technique was to use some sort of flat strop, stapled to the bat box and place wherever desired on the stem.

Arborbolt or a home made version of it that i've made which moves with the growth of the tree, to me if you use wire won't in cause to much friction if wind blows it and end up damaging the tree :confused1:

We did the woodcrete ones years back and had to them with 2 ropes around a union and tied off on the stem at ladder height so that they could be lowered to the ground to be checked.
