Talking to a trainer yesterday and that was his concern. Every bloke with a saw will be doing them for beer money, chainsaw injuries will go up and then the H&SE will be reviewing the industry again.

I remember used to be elms everywhere,  now about over 80% of big trees, are ash trees round here.

What it should be is a wake up call to encourage more species diversity and climate resilient planting, just like what happened when DED started.
