Was shown a silky saw last night, which had closer teeth at the last few inches of the blade. Its called a Gomtaro. The chap who showed it me said he got it for when pruning small branches on fruit trees as it wouldnt rip the small twiggy bits. Looked quite good- any of you guys used one?:001_smile:

i used my gomtaro 270 (8 teeth per inch) today to reduce and thin an oak. most cuts were about around 2 inch diameter but some were as much as 4 inch. done the whole lot with the gomtaro, took allday but my arms feel no more fatigue than you'd expect from a good climb. nice saw, versitile and easy to use.
