Hi my jensen 530 woodchipper the hydrolic rollers are running slow with the machine fully reved i fitteda new sellanoid works for a bit but does the same thing any ideas please

We used to have one and sometimes the speed dial ( just a flow valve ) would vibrate round to almost shut ( low numbers on the dial )

Sounds like the directional control valve is sticking...its the thing the two solenoids slide on two. When its is running try sticking a small screwdriver in the end of the valve of the forward solenoid valve they some times get stuck and don't allow the spool valve to open/close properly.  Best bet is take it to a hydraulic fitter and see  what they say. The spool valves in the directional control valve aint interchangeable so a new valve might be needed.

Actually my Jensen did this and the fault was traced to the bearings on the roller shaft . Sorry meant to put this with my previous post.

Do the rollers still have crushing power? Is it just that they’re slow?

Check that the sensor is close enough to the flywheel. Too far away and it can cause slow running, though it usually pulses rather than just runs slow

you could try wiring the soleniod direct to the battery, that would bypass the control box and safety switches so you could rule out a problem there, the anti stress wont work so bear that in mind if chipping. i put a coil of wire on the chippers as a back up in case of control box problems.
