I currently work in the uk and more recently in Munich, I would really like to gain more knowledge in tree care , could anyone give me any advice on weather it would be better to have European tree worker or Isa certification , bearing in mind I plan on working in Europe and the uk, any advice would be much appreciated, regards , Ben

The EAC is gathering moment, albeit slowly, in several European Countries, as is ETW and ETT (less so) and the previous agreement the ISA & EAC had for dual-recognition / deemed to satisfy, in effect, has lapsed.

So, in Europe I would suggest 'Euro. Tree Worker' to be the best option...the problem is accessing the exam in the UK is nigh on impossible so maybe ISA Certified Arborist is a more viable / accessible option.

There, has that helped...not much really, sorry. o.O

I've not heard of the European Tree Worker, can't seem to find much detail online, then again European websites always seem a bit hard to navigate for me...

Is it academic or practical?

It’s academic it’s pretty much the same I think as isa but people in Europe all seem to do European tree worker rather than isa
