Hi, does anyone know what the weight would be of a steel IBC cage full of split Ash (9").  Both green & seasoned.

Just purchased a new compact 30hp tractor with front loader expecting it to be fine and it wont lift them.

I've got the same problem by the way. Have you considered rear 3 point linkage forks?

new tractor spec is 400kg front forks limit.  was told would easily lift a cage of logs hmmm.  thats eaxactly what im looking for really.  Then also going to make a 3 point linkage attachment for the back of my 4 ton dumper

Have you got a rear weight on? Counter balance is pretty important when you’re lifting anywhere near its limit.

As said you are looking at around 500kg including crate. Our 55hp compact can only just handle a cube of wet logs and has had to have some repairs to the front axles due to overloading. Think you are just asking too much of a 30hp machine. Probably not what you want to hear.
