I suppose your right we've just had bad luck with staff all want more wages than we even pay our selves to turn up late and do jack s**t.

You're seriously going to have your work cut out to make any money in this way mark. To cut to length, split and fill bags, and make a profit out of it, far easier ways to earn a living!

and whats wrong with that? why shouldnt an experienced climber turn up and charge well for a days solid climbing?

I've had guys asking for £200 a day without any of their own gear. Tree surgery is a skillful job, but it ain't brain surgery!

Think I can see both your points here, Steves right, the subby should have all the kit to carry out the job he's hired for, if its a big t/d with rigging, then he brings the rigging kit, saws fuel etc, then he shoud be worth top dollar for his work. Igottawossname is right, if they turn up w/o any kit why should they get top money? Surely if they have no kit, they cant do their job?!?
