Anyone buy in timber for firewood??

not bad when you take your wages, fuel, wear and tear on equipment/trucks etc into account, and factor in that while you're doing that you aint doing anything else, oh and its only 3 loads a day per man. What is a "load"? pickup, transit or 7.5tonner?

 

I had 2 others out doing a job aswell so it wasn't my only income. We were using my 4.5 ton Iveco tipper - similar size to a transit.

I'd rather get another groundie to help me out. You could get a student just out of Merrist wood with all their tickets for that!

 

You could just pay minimum wage for unskilled labour if you wanted - but the guy that is with me at the moment from the job centre is good and I would like him to stick around!

I suppose your right we've just had bad luck with staff all want more wages than we even pay our selves to turn up late and do jack s**t.
