Been reading about splicing for the last few months and couldn't get my head round it. Moved to NZ this month and via Arbtalk I met Drew.B, he showed me how to do this. Admittedly he did a lot of it and I tried to take it all in, think I'll be giving him a call when I do it on my own. But loved it, can't wait to make up a wire flid and get practicing.

Picked up a bit of Tachyon at the AA show the other week. Spliced this up when I got back.

 

I also was given some twisted wire, rubber coated from a bike lock and inserted it into the eye of a rope guide I made earlier. Works a treat and only had a problem retrieving once when it chokered to a stem and the eye half hitched on itself.
