Yea....lol . I took the plastic out of the big blue tongue one and it's now my srt base anchor

Been reading about splicing for the last few months and couldn't get my head round it. Moved to NZ this month and via Arbtalk I met Drew.B, he showed me how to do this. Admittedly he did a lot of it and I tried to take it all in, think I'll be giving him a call when I do it on my own. But loved it, can't wait to make up a wire flid and get practicing.

Picked up a bit of Tachyon at the AA show the other week. Spliced this up when I got back.

 

I also was given some twisted wire, rubber coated from a bike lock and inserted it into the eye of a rope guide I made earlier. Works a treat and only had a problem retrieving once when it chokered to a stem and the eye half hitched on itself.

Hey guys, im new to this splicing stuff this is my first successful attempt of splicing some AP onto my pinto, still gotta do some whipping on it

That looks very smart for a first attempt, how many did you cut off and bin before that one?!

i used about 4 foot of some boating line i picked up to practice on and messed up 1 attempt on the AP, ive made done the e2e on the pinto and 2 different length e2e for my friction hitch this splicing is kinda addictive!
