Thats how I tie off SRT on a stem. Can then retrieve it with the alpine side and choke it off again assuming you've not left a load of pegs. It just slides down to you. I use a 5wrap blakes on mine Tom, its a bit quicker to tie the prussic for me. Do you choke a ropeguide off on stems Rich?

I usually choke a rope guide off on the stem yes. I have one about 1.7 and a 4.5 metre one. I made the large one for a plane dismantle last year with a crane. Still wasn't big enough so sometimes I just choke a running bowline and vt and RW as a bailout option.

Thought I would try a FS with a stiff eye like some others have on here.

 

Thats really tidy. Top splicing, I need to get my kit out and have a play before i forget what im doing :thumbup:
