My first splice…well sort of, the first couple may not have come out quite so well! 12mm sirius bull rope.

Wrong photo, this was actually the first one that came out how i wanted it too, this time in 14mm sirius bull rope, quite addictive this splicing malarky, fast running out of things to splice!

Like it, what sort of splice is it?

& how did you actually do it?? ...tweezers, magnifying glass, patience - or was it just skill?

I did mine with a locking brummel splice, using a paper clip

I did mine with a needle. Didn't bother with a locking brummel. I just did a straight bury and it only broke last week with my full weight hanging on it to try to get it unstuck!!

jesus tom should have gone for the locking brummel. You would have snapped the tree instead

It is a locking Brummell splice mate, I've done both ends now and redone the original as the bury was not quite long enough, I used a needle do the turns and then a snare wire to do the bury, very simple very easy and loads better than I'd ever imagine on the throwpod!!
