firewood sales

Hi peeps just wondered what yer firewood is selling like,i did 20 ton last month but it has just ground to a halt,is this the norm,or is the weather to blame just thought i,d ask:confused1:

not had a frost here, and not seen gritters out on road yet

Tend to get an initial rush september and october from those who want to get in early, then when true winter hits in december it starts again

its very mild ,so all the cowboy log sellers will be getting desparate & selling there crap off cheap, just in time for the cold snap & folk come looking for the good stuff ,but there are more folk selling this yr & that wont help

Dont panic Brian, you have a huge stack of quality hardwood to process in time for the rush.

Cheers TOM im pretty sure im the only one in my area with any amount of hardwood,so think i,ll wait till frost bites and make a killing,i,ll have a measure up at the weekend may be something worthy of milling.

My firewood is dribbling out rather than rushing.

 

I think mainly down to weather but also because there's a lot more people round here doing it.

 

Soon as it gets cold it'll start flying out I reckon.

Has been quiet the last month, but phone very busy yesterday, and I've got about 15 cube to go out next week, so happy bunny now.
