At the moment the mill in this area will come and take away timber only if its worth their while and dont want to pay anything for it

If people allow them to behave like that they will!!

I would tell the to go forth and multiply.

I have guys who will come and take timber from my yard and pay by the hoppus foot, they even came to site at 1AM on a Sunday night/Monday morning, to a road closure AND paid me.

I have to agree with Huck on this- given the problems i have had getting oak, and i understand a lot of hardwood is becoming harder to find due to the demand for firewood giving quick returns, and i have been to all the major suppliers of bulk timber that i can find numbers for, then if mills arent prepared to pay then they SHOULD be told to f-off.

Dead Elms on an A road near a city center, they shut the road from 8pm till 5am.

We could not completely block the road, as we had to allow emergency vehicles through, unfortunate lots of taxi driver felt they were also a vital service:thumbdown:

No idea what the TM cost, we were working for the council and they sorted all that.
