Large lathe

Has anyone any idea where I might find a turner with a lathe big enough to accommodate and oak stump measuring 90 cm long and 60 cm diameter. I want to create a lighthouse shape. I was thinking about slicing the stump into discs first and then turning each disc separately but it would be difficult to get the soft curve I need (see photo).

Any thoughts or ideas welcome.

i may be able to help...

 

 

turning it as one lump would be difficult as most lathes only go up to 20" between centers but the method of slicing it into discs means i can do that off the end of the lathe no problem.

A Dean Smith and Grace monster lathe would accommodate it between running centers but that is serious engineering territory .

I know Mike Dean at Barley Wood in East Sussex, turns large pieces like porch columns.
