Which Winch Will Winch?

We need a new winch, and are considering the Weblift 3200kgs.

It comes in at half the price of the outstanding Tirfor.

Question is, has anybody out there got one or used one, as I can't find any reviews of it anywhere.

Please DON'T bother with all the '...nothing's as good as a Tirfor...' I know they are great, but want to know if Weblift are any good/well made/ up to the job.

I have that winch under a different name and have had no problems with it at all, and I've given it some stick, it cost about £140.

 

I think the RRP or suggested selling price of £412 which some retailers are quoting is a little misleading.

 

If you want the winch under a different branding punch tirfor into ebay search and you'll see the same winches for sale cheap

sorry bob, was pottering about there, not sure what model, i will have a nosy tomorrow if i get up the yard but maybe wednesday mate. its the one with the 3 shear pins in the handle mechanism.

Might be interested...how long's the wire? Has it got the hook on one end?

i think so, it lay in a box for years, so i sent it away to get reconditioned and lolered. it came back squeaky clean, the guy said 'they dont make them like that anymore'. i have a 5 ton one that was a pain to carry about, but since getting a handle put on it, it is so much easier so we just take that if we need one. let me get a few pics and numbers off the plate, it may take a couple of days and my camera phone is playing up aswell
