Obv a puffball but which one?stump puff ball? On a healthy looking syc

I'd suggest first fungi isn't honey fungus, looks more like some species of Pholiota - possibly Pholiota adiposa.

 

Second fungi is indeed stump puffball - Lycoperdon pyriforme

 

And yes the third fungi is indeed Dryad's Saddle - Polyporus squamosus

Thanks, didn't think the tops where particularly scaly so didn't really think of pholiota, but guess this becomes less apparent later on?

Im not 100% on it being Pholiota, its just my best guess! there are several species of Pholiota some scalier than others!

The scales, or squamules if you like, can wash off over time...

Bill, I associate it with stumps and colonization of dead decaying matter. And I've only seen it in the root sinuses (where I'd expect some dead matter). Never seen it on the actual buttresses, so maybe a little further investigation. David will be along later to say that all the aforesaid is total billhooks and don't concern yourself
