Depends what you class as waste, if you carrying chip or timber back to your yard for profit then it can't be waste.


Would I ever be asked for it at a green waste site?

Iv been lucky we have a huge fire once a month where I work and my boss doesn't mind us bringing stuff in off our work on the side..

To create a paper trail. To help stop fly tipping. Like I say worth having as if you get stopped without one you can get fined.

free tier 1 I think it is. That’s all you need for green waste. Takes 5 mins and free

it is issued by the e/v/ agency for green waste its the lower tier and free of charge any other waste you will need the higher tier which costs, some tip sites will require you to show your licence the main problem will occur if you are stopped by the police or vosa.

Pl. is not compulsory but if the sxxx hits the fan you might be glad of it and it is tax deductible
