Cant reallt help nor remember but was glad to see the back of my 8-4 plant trailer!

Bought a new gd10-5 ifor woth a rear ramp. Near enough same footprint of the plant trailer all beit a little wider. More load area as a lot of a plant trailer is 6' of drawbar lol

one thing to consider if you plan to keep chipper on trailer and feed it then youve a 6' drawbar then probs another 3 ' to the chute just to tailgate on motor then 'x' amount of feet to front headboard on chipbox

hope my post isn't irrelevant lol :D

We carry out TR6 on a GD 84. I have extended the threaded bar that holds the tailgate ramp otherwise the chipper will sit too far forward and the tongue is too heavy so you ruin the jockey wheel thread.

Have to say the tr8 sits a little heavy on our 8x4 , only fits on the wrong way , truck copes with it , transit doesn't notice but I think I'll try a 9x4 if there is such a thing , or as the previous post  a 10x5 would be ok .

Mark - try new seals from bearing factor ( old ones may just have given up ) , if it goes after another year - bigger ram mate , K ( cheaper than finding new trailer )
