So im at college doing forestry and arboriculture and we have to learn to climb, i can get up and into the tree no problem my problem starts when im changing my anchor points even after changing to a higher point i just feel uneasy about standing on the branch, its not a fear of heights iv been rock climing years and never had an issue. Any ideas what i can do to get over this, my tutors are pretty useless tbh

Cheers for any help in advance

Dont be afraid to be afraid, fear and trepidation keeps your senses heightend and ultimatley keeps you alive.

Confidence will come with time and more climbing.

Perhaps when your feeling nervous, just take a minute-breathe deep-and tell yourself"I ll be fine,im just being irrational".

No one gets to be a great climber overnight,it comes with experience so go easy on yourself.

One tip i will give you is

TRUST YOUR GEAR...

You ll be fine mate

When changing anchor points we were told to stand on the branch while we throw to the next point if that makes sense

Yea but you sling your strop , flip line , round something first , before you unclip ...yes ?
