looks like meripulus and the reason i would still fell one if i saw it was infected!

 

Ditto to that. I don’t suppose you or the landowner know how long it had been infected? It’ll be lovely to have some close-up shots of the main supporting roots and particularly the underside. Good post, thanks for sharing. :thumbup1:I wonder if it had been inspected by highways...?

I would say, each and every Tree needs to be assessed on it's own merrits and not struck down with such sweeping judgement.

My judgement was not sweeping, I know each and every of my Beech trees with Merip, each one is judged accordingly.

Its just past Stapeley Water Gardens on the left hand side . Ill take some pics if you chop it up with your ported 017 ha ha ha . :lol:

Have you seen that Beech yet ? . Are you using the husky climbing saw .
