First milling, wild cherry

Tried my new husky 395 and it did well.

milled wild cherry tree. Not sure yet what I am going to use it for.

milled the first log  at 2.5 inches, it got a bone shape slab with nice grain. Second log milled at 2 inches thick. Tree came dawn 9 months ago.

what would you use such boards for?

Benches, tables etc
Cherry is susceptible to mild and fungus, ideally get them well off the ground with a decent roof/cover.
Your saw/mill/sugi set up looks tasty mate.

I have 2 lovely benches at the kitchen table from very similar timber, legs cut from the same stock at full width. It really is beautiful timber, very hard though. Nice boards.

Seal the ends and try and keep it out of the heat , I've had cherry milled in late summer warp and crack to the point it's unusable!

I have problems with all fruit woods, hit and miss as to usability after storage, but I isn't no expert, I just have more issues with fruit than any other timber, oh Holly comes close.
