What first aid kit do you carry in your vehicle?

So I'm looking at creating myself a specific first aid kit to keep in my truck. I'm only a subby climber so it shouldn't really be necessary, but I've noticed that quite a few people have inadequate kits (the Halfords type) for our line of work, and would be interested to great what some of you use.

The Arb Aid kit looks good but they won't sell it without taking part in their training.

I'm looking at a tough box to store the bits in, with the necessary trauma items stored inside. this will be for serious incidents only, with a minor kit kept in the truck as well for the less serious incidents.

I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

Should be an interesting thread this.

We we have a decent 1st aid box which generally has bits of everything in. It is not really arb specific so I'll read this and add to mine as appropriate.

Remember Jomoco? What happened to him, this thread would have definitely peaked his interest. I'm sure that guy towed an ambulance with him:D

I remember him. As i recall he monopolized the last thread with a constant closed minded rhetoric and far fetched stories of emergency tracheotomies performed with an 020 and speeding through peoples back yards in a shortcut to a&e. I hope this doesn't happen here, I've no desire to debate the finer points of "primum non nocere"

Good topic,i ll be following with interest.

Weve got the usual mnor injury 1st aid kit and some celox pouches, large wound dressings and the odd isreali bandage in the van.

Its something weve been meaning to sort out into a recognisable"all in one kit" but just dont make the time to do it.

Just out of interest does anyone know how many celox pouches your are adviced to carry?

Weve got 2....

Is that enough for 4 of us..?

Really doubt 4 guys would cop an unfortunate one in one day though

I would have thought enough to treat 2 casualties would be enough.

I'd be looking at 2 celox (gauze not powder), 2 israeli dressings, 2 cats etc, along with other handy stuff.

Cling film is a real handy thing to have. It's a bandage, burn dressing and more
