Would any 1 have an issue of arb climber 4 i would like to read the article on ballistic ppe in tree work for heat exhaustion etc. We are made wear them [the jackets i mean] in the public service ....any thoughts::confused1:

My thoughts are, thats bloody ridiculous. Its too hot even wearing a t-shirt this time of year let alone a ballistic jacket! Perhaps your employers or whoever decided this should come and do a days work with you wearing one

Try working on line clearance in NZ! Fire retardant overalls on top of your chainsaw gear are mandatory for several companies.

As Steve says about ballistic jackets, no chance of me wearing those, haven't worn type c trousers for years either.

Honey brothers do the magazine,some other of the other arb suppliers stock em too.

Asfor wearing jackets in tbis weather is beyond crazy...

Never been hot enough in the uk to stop work from my point of view. Anyone who thinks the high 20's is hot should take a stroll down under and give 45 degrees Celsius in chainsaw trousers up a 100 foot lemon scented a go.
