We all go on about chainsaw protective clothing worn for the accident you might have,Little is said about ear protection for the damage that will happen however good you are with a saw I m 53 and getting progressively more deaf the doctor says that the damage is done and I now have age realated deafness as well

If only I could go back !

Tell me about. Trouble is I don't think earmuffs where even available when I started.

I haven't watched the video yet, thanks for that Steve, I will try later.

I have had tinnitus since I was 20 years old and I am now 63.It started when i worked in a lace factory,no ear defenders provided so after a while I bought my own.I was the only one wearing them in the factory.I worked there for only two years but the damage was done.I have worked in the building trade for the last 30 years and my hearing is not good in the other ear.Stihl saw use and using sds drills have done the damage I believe.I do where ear defenders now but fear its to late.
