I've been an observer for some time but thought I'd better sign up and say hi! I run a chainsaw repair business in central Lancashire but recently imported a turbosawmill from New Zealand, and we'll I'll let the photos do the talking:

Nice, whats the saw powering the mill and whats the tractor? Did you use that to lift that log? Looking for something similar myself.

The saw is a Stihl 090, biggest production saw they made. I've had a 6' bar on it and it pulls it with ease. The tractor actually belongs to the customer on that particular job, we used it to drag the log off the pile. The mill take me 30 mins to set up on my own around the log

that looks a good step forward to the normal one where you have to manhandle the log onto a platform.

It's a great mill I can't recommend them enough, I don't think there are many in the U.K. At present but I'm sure that'll change over the next few years

I looked at these a while ago, didn't get one.

It's a very expensive toy.

It comes without an engine

It needs a very loud, thirsty, inefficient, polluting 2-stroke.

Limited capacity

Limited portability

These were reasons for me not to, obviously your decision making was different and I hope it works well for you. You certainly seem to have pride and joy with it, which are priceless.
