  1. Hopefully the website will work a little better on iPhone when it changes, I can't see what I'm doing on a full website and this little screen!
  2. It's a great mill I can't recommend them enough, I don't think there are many in the U.K. At present but I'm sure that'll change over the next few years
  3. Yeah OPE is fairly similar to this just mostly American! Still trying to navigate my way round this site yet though so bare with!
  4. It'll do an 8" cut, but can be setup to do a 16" double cut if necessary
  5. Hi spud, been watching for years and I'm a fairly well known member on OPE, just figured I'd use the opportunity to say hi! I run a chainsaw repair shop myself and have done port work on a half dozen saws of my own with good results. Anyways enough about me, i might have access to a 261 coil I'll have a look in my boneyard stock in the morning and get back to you!
  6. The saw is a Stihl 090, biggest production saw they made. I've had a 6' bar on it and it pulls it with ease. The tractor actually belongs to the customer on that particular job, we used it to drag the log off the pile. The mill take me 30 mins to set up on my own around the log
  7. I've been an observer for some time but thought I'd better sign up and say hi! I run a chainsaw repair business in central Lancashire but recently imported a turbosawmill from New Zealand, and we'll I'll let the photos do the talking:

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
