What about the diference between logs, chips and hedge trimmings.

 

 

 

Who wants to keep hedge cuttings in case they become useful?

 

They make compost - obviously!

 

Have you got a vested interest in the EA or something??

No , but I do carry things other than chips and logs, if you carry any other waste than chip or log then you are breaking the law. What about the odd bit of fence pannel, some brick rubble , a load of roots off a site etc...

Most tree surgeons will only ever carry green waste, obviously all green waste can be composted.

I still use root, I have a root pile in my woodland which is a cracking habitat. Wren and robin numbers have tripled since my log and root piles appeared

 

Yeah that's a good one - I've got worms in my woodchip pile and spiders in my log stack:icon14:

Maybe you carry rubble ect,I ain't a landscaper,I don't.

Yeah, what the hell's a logologist doing with a truck load of broken bricks!:confused:

 

Would be quite useful if i had some,could put them on the road on my yard..............so again not waste!
