About 20 years ago i worked at Warter Estate that borders Millington Dale. A very nice part of the world, and a place i miss working at.

nettle growth is more in line with that kind of management anyhow , isnt it?

managing for insects, catapilers and the like. still makes me cringe seeing old hawthorns go over.

great job tho, can i come and work for you? sounds like a job you can get your teeth stuck into, would love to get away from crown lifting limes, cleanning beechs, and endless hours of trying to blow twigs out of scottish pebble drives, avoiding closly quaffered lawns. before client comes home in their bmw x 5...

Next one down 3201, good little winch, nice and light and close coupled so you can lift a few butts with small tractor

Yes think you are right, the land owner said he recorded -20 deg C a few years back, there is a place near by called "Cold Skin" for good reason, not nice when the wind blows!!

Did they make you go round and rounduo the stumps after - we had to on the one's outside Wintringham and Duggleby - felt like it took longer to do that than it did to fell 'em!

We have to treat the stumps as we go immediately, good practice as you tend miss loads otherwise, the chem is sposed to be more effective on fresh cut stumps.

 

Pleased with tractor so far ready for it's first service, could of used an alpine on that dale though!
