My point is that replacing them free of charge is problem as much if not more in the interests of Petzl as the interests of the owner.

 

If I replace the word Problem with the word Probably that post makes sense.

 

If that's right then why is that sneaky?

Can't say I've ever felt the need to clean mine.

 

 

Once I have cleaned mine, can't remember what tree I was in but it was pissing down and it got really gunked up, shortly after I started using a cambium saver never had the problem or need to clean it since.

Me neither, but I have had this discussion with yanks who are up and down sappy conifers day in day out for whom it's an issue (rope cleaning as well)

 

Ftr I only use mine on more technical stuff.

I use mine for everything. I've not used a prussic for well over 5 years now.

 

Mine is a mark 2, its been cracked for years, (my mark 1 was perfect, wish I'd kept it now) but its the last link and the crack has never changed.

 

I will swap it for a mark 3 one day :blushing:

Think ive washed mines once after some connies on a warm day if memory serves.I was using 11mm tachyon but ive gone back to 13mm and it seems to be self cleaning now

 

 

Why have you gone back to 13mm and which do you prefer?
