Your right Joe.

I think its an old gearbox from a Unimog 411.Both the output shafts on mine come from the transfer case on the drivers side.

 

Someone on here will know.

could it be 4 gears in 2wd and 4 gears in 4wd.?

 

i always thought mogs had 4 gears and 2 ranges that swaped between for the higher and lower gears

 

ie on square mogs 1234 on one range and 5678 on the other

 

and on older 900s 12 (and reverse)on one range and 3456 on the other.

 

altho i may havering now:001_smile:

looking a little closer, i reckon 6 forward and 2 reverse, or 6 high box, 2 in low box? but i dont have a clue im just guessing by looking at it :001_smile:

Could be, I had an 1100 that was like that.
