As long as there is something in the saw it won't matter! Its only chain oil!! If your not bothered about fuel mixes then definatly don't worry about oil.

No it doesnt matter, tho if your running bio and swapping to mineral I would flush it through, and vice versa. And if you are on a sensitive site, having to run bio, def clean out the mineral oil first before topping the tank up.

i would be a lot more concerned about the fuel mix going into my £500 plus saw than chain oil. a new bar is a lot cheeper than a new saw it can only take one poor mix to wreck a saw.

Why??????????:confused1:

I dunno, last time I used bio-oil, and topped it up with mineral, it seemed to go gloopy in the tank and I had to clean right through the oiler system to get it oiling again, a pita, so I would rather flush it right out in future than all that palaver.:001_smile:

What bio oil did you use? Some are ok, some are not.

Ive had this problem to, also if we have a cold night and the saws get cold out in the shed then the chain oil can go real thick and gloopy.
